DECEMBER 1954, LIERNAIS, COTE-D'OR:

Reference number for this case: Dec-54-Liernais. Thank you for including this reference number in any correspondence with me regarding this case.

REPORTS:

[Ref. 1021] MAGAZNE "LUMIERE DANS LA NUIT":

The magazine indicates that in December 1954, Mr. Brulard was in the surroundings of Liernais in the départment of Côte-d'Or, returning by foot towards the hamlet of Huis Renaud after a death-watch, when shrtly after the separation between the secondary roads D17 and D17B close to the Vieux Château he was confronted to a very powerful light which appeared in front of him.

The dazzling light came from a red ball which was at the location Le Grand-Pré near Huis Renaud between the secondary roads D15 and D17. The ball was evaluated as being at 1600 meters away from the witness and having a diameter of 14 meters according to LDLN, with the indication that UFO investigator Jean Tyrode made an estimate of a distance of 1200 meters and a diameter of 10 meters.

Mr. Brulard felt a faintness, not managing to feel his walk anymore and losing the notion of space reference marks. He was obliged to continue his progression on all four and passed in front of his residence without realizing it before to have exceeded it by a hundred meters. When he realized that he had gone too far he went back still on all four and finally reached his home.

He remained affected by a great tiredness the next three days, then fell sick, the doctor not being able to identify what he suffered of.
