[Ref. 1703:] HAROLD T. WILKINS:
The author indicates that in October 1954 or the first week of in France a "flying mushroom" object with three tripod attachments, was allegedly seen by a motor truck driver and a friend. It landed in a field at Faremoutiers, Seine-et-Marne, east of Paris. It "put a ray" on the truck driver "that caused his body to prickle and come out in a cold sweat. His head swum dizzily." One version said it was a "green ray." The driver could not move an inch, until the thing rose slowly into the sky and flew off.
